Get Involved in the CES 2.0

Updating the Clean Economy Strategy is an ongoing process, and the City of Renton wants to hear your priorities and concerns. Your input helps us shape a resilient Renton that reflects shared community priorities and goals for the future.

The online survey is a great way to voice your opinions and priorities related to the Clean Economy Strategy 2.0. Join the mailing list below to get updates about the CES 2.0 and engagement opportunities!

Community Survey

The community survey is an opportunity to share your ideas on how you’d like to see the City of Renton address climate change. Take the survey by June 22 using the links below!

Online Open House

The community open house took place online on May 25 from 6:00–7:30 pm, with an optional Q&A session from 7:30–8:00 pm. The open house provided participants with an overview of the CES 2.0 planning process and an opportunity to discuss opinions on draft strategies in smaller groups. See below for a recording of the presentation.

Advisory Committee

We are currently seeking more community members to serve on the Advisory Committee, which includes representation from Renton residents, local business owners and employers, community stakeholders, government agencies, service providers, public officials, and others interested in sustainability and climate mitigation. If you would like to serve as a member of the Advisory Committee, please contact Katie Buchl-Morales (kbuchl-morales@rentonwa.gov).

The Advisory Committee meets at key milestones of the planning process and provides valuable insights into elements of the planning process: understanding climate vulnerabilities and emissions, setting goals and targets, identifying strategies, and planning for implementation. The Advisory Committee reviews and provides feedback on the information and strategies presented to help guide the development of the Clean Economy Strategy 2.0.
